I speak about emergency medicine, clinical leadership and education, drawing on everyday practice. Performing for a live audience means shaping the pace and explanation to the room, responding to questions and making complex ideas easier to follow.

A short introduction.
Professor Iain Beardsell is an NHS Consultant in Emergency Medicine at UHS and Honorary Professor of Medical Education at the University of Southampton. A consultant at UHS since May 2008, he continues to work two clinical shifts each week. He speaks and hosts at medical conferences, is a podcast host and senior editor at St Emlyn’s, and created MedPod Learn. His television medical advisory work includes more than 80 episodes of Casualty.
